| Its been a long night, but I feel these lyrics should be posted. No particular reason, I really like the song, and while I can't directly relate, I think its the kind of thing I wish I could relate to. The experience I in a way had, but not in the same way... Well, anyway...
I was a little too tall
Could've used a few pounds
Tight pants points hardly reknown
She was a black-haired beauty with big dark eyes
And points all her own sitting way up high
Way up firm and high
Out past the cornfields where the woods got heavy
Out in the back seat of my '60 Chevy
Workin' on mysteries without any clues
Workin' on our night moves
Tryin' to make some front page drive-in news
Workin' on our night moves
In the summertime
In the sweet summertime
We weren't in love, oh no, far from it
We weren't searchin' for some pie in the sky summit
We were just young and restless and bored
Livin' by the sword
And we'd steal away every chance we could
To the backroom, to the alley or the trusty woods
I used her, she used me
But neither one cared
We were gettin' our share
Workin' on our night moves
Tryin' to lose the awkward teenage blues
Workin' on our night moves
And it was summertime
Mmm sweet, summertime summertime
And oh the wonder
We felt the lightning
And we waited on the thunder
Waited on the thunder
I awoke last night to the sound of thunder
How far off I sat and wondered
Started humming a song from 1962
Ain't it funny how the night moves
When you just don't seem to have as much to lose
Strange how the night moves
With autumn closing in

| I absolutely love Fleetwood Mac, and this song is amazing. The lyrics are simple, but powerful, and the guitar work is superb. I had heard this on the radio for a while, and I finally got around to looking into it. Here's the lyrics:
She broke down and let me in Made me see where Ive been
Been down one time Been down two times I'm never going back again
You don't know what it means to win Come down and see me again
Been down one time Been down two times I'm never going back again
I'm not entirely sure what it means for me, but its definitely in the acoustic style which takes me in the direction of nature and how much I miss going camping and such. Maybe I will rectify this soon...

| A week into the quarter and things are already plenty interesting around here in SB. I almost got in a fight last night, so that was fun. But aside from that, I've managed very successfully to maintain my level of cool that I came into the quarter with. I was very relaxed coming in, and so far, even though there are some deadlines already coming up, and plenty of work on my plate, things have been taken in stride. So good stuff. Also, I've been listening strait through my Pink Floyd collection for the last few hours, which always will take the edge off :) Today had its stresses, so its good to be able to maintain a level demeanor. So yea, I'm in a Pink Floyd induced ramble. I'm gonna knock off here, so yea, out.

| After watching The Dude for a while, and probably after I finish this post, again, I feel it important to post this song. I'm not sure what, if any importance the lyrics have to me, but I must admit I do really enjoy music that has to do with an altered state of mind, even though the closest I ever get is very drunk. So here it is, Kenny Rogers:
(Yeah, yeah, oh-yeah, what condition my condition was in)
I woke up this mornin' with the sundown shinin' in I found my mind in a brown paper bag within I tripped on a cloud and fell-a eight miles high I tore my mind on a jagged sky I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in
(Yeah, yeah, oh-yeah, what condition my condition was in)
I pushed my soul in a deep dark hole and then I followed it in I watched myself crawlin' out as I was a-crawlin' in I got up so tight I couldn't unwind I saw so much I broke my mind I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in
(Yeah, yeah, oh-yeah, what condition my condition was in)
Someone painted "April Fool" in big black letters on a "Dead End" sign I had my foot on the gas as I left the road and blew out my mind Eight miles outta Memphis and I got no spare Eight miles straight up downtown somewhere I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in
I said I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in Yeah yeah oh-yeah

Just a quick note: I saw a commercial for the new
Blade Runner release the other day. First off, I'm kind of pissed, I
thought it was going to be released in theaters, and I was excited to see it on
the big screen, so negative points already. But in the commercial, the
famous line from Roy Batty, "I want more life, fucker!" was changed
to, "I want more life, father." I sincerely hope this was just
to make it show-able on TV and not an actual edit. That would be bullshit;
the line is iconic, and crucial. We see Batty as not only a highly
intelligent, rational, logical creation, but one with emotion, which is
essential if we are to feel any kind of sympathy for him and the other
Replicants. I have gone from excitement about this re-release to guarded
skepticism. Also, movies this next year, they look promising, at least
some of them. This last year was, overall, a flop, but next year shows
some potential. Here's the flicks I'm looking forward to that I've heard
about so far:
Burn After Reading: Cohen Brothers, sounds good. The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian: The trailer looks dark;
this looks to be good, slightly more mature Narnia.
The Dark Knight: Batman begins was awesome, and The Joker looks
disturbing as all hell.
Get Smart: I used to watch the show every now and then, worth a
look I figure.
Indiana
Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull: Indian Jones, 'nuf said.
James Bond 22: I really liked Casino Royale, I can’t wait to see what they do next.
Rambo: … bitches!
RocknRolla: Guy Ritchie is back, with another London
Gangster film. Hells yea.
Son of Rambow: Sounds like Little Miss Sunshine type awesome.
Star Trek XI: To boldly go…
The X-Files 2: I’m slowly getting into the show, so this
could be cool.
Zack and Miri Make a
Porno: Oh Kevin Smith, what will you
think of next.
